Eden WONG
Managing Director

Mr. Wong is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of East Park Investment Management Co. Ltd., with over 20 years of experience in the finance industry.

From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Wong was an executive director at Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C in Hong Kong, where he has worked in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Division and Investment Management Division, respectively. Throughout that period, Mr. Wong was involved in originating and analyzing private debt and equities-linked investments for the firm’s proprietary investment desks and for co-investment by its institutional clients, providing investment advice and managing discretionary investment portfolios for corporates and high net worth families.

From 1998 to 2006, Mr. Wong was a director of credit research at Credit Suisse First Boston and ING Barings, and an associate director of credit research at Barclays Capital. Mr. Wong started his career at HSBC group where he spent a total of 6 years in its corporate banking and fixed income divisions.

Mr. Wong holds an MBA (with honors) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. Mr. Wong also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and has been called to the English Bar.

Mr. Wong is a registered responsible officer for type 9 (asset management) with the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong.

Alan MERCER
Adviser

Mr. Mercer is a founding member of East Park. He started his career as a lawyer in London and then Hong Kong specializing in securities and corporate finance work. From 1989 to 1993 he worked in the Corporate Finance Division of the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. From 1993 to 1998 he worked as General Counsel and main board director of the Peregrine Group, a large listed Hong Kong based investment bank with offices throughout Asia. From 1998 to 2000 he was General Counsel and director of BNP Paribas Peregrine Securities Ltd which had acquired the highly successful Greater China business from Peregrines holding company. From 2000 to 2010 he has been involved in the alternative investment industry focusing on Asia long/short strategies and private equity investing. During the last 4 (four) years, Mr. Mercer established and ran the Hong Kong office of a Singapore based fund manager which managed a successful Asian special situations fund investing in stressed, distressed and turnaround opportunities in the medium cap space in Asia ex Japan. Mr. Mercer was responsible for deal sourcing, structuring and managing, until exit, investments focusing on North Asia (ex Japan).

Jacky WONG
Associate

Mr. Wong joined East Park in 2016 as an associate. Before joining our firm, Mr. Wong was with the Regional Fund and Discretionary Services team at HSBC Private Bank in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Mr. Wong worked in a HK-based Investor Relations company.

Mr. Wong holds an Honors Degree in BBA Finance from City University of Hong Kong. Mr. Wong is a registered representative for class 9 asset management with the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong.

Kingsway TSAI
Analyst

Mr. Tsai joined East Park in 2016 as an analyst.

Mr. Tsai holds an Honors Degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology double majoring in Economics and Marketing. Mr. Tsai is a registered representative for class 9 asset management with the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong.
